I'm a wife, soon to be 37 year old in late December, mother of 4. Yes 4! Having a 19 month old to run around after. A 16, 11 and a soon to be 10 year old. some days is harder to get any fitness routine going and to keep any goals for my self. But I have definitely made a way to maintain a quick and easy routine that can be done in 15 to 20 minutes to get my heart pumping and get moving to stay active. Because we all know sometimes its hard to go to the gym, so for me its more convenient to get that fitness in at home.
My number one love in fitness... is doing Pilates . I love that it gives me long lean muscle without giving you that bulk look. I try to do Pilates as least twice a week on top of my quick 15 to 20 minutes of high intensity training 4 to 5 days a week! That burns fat, improves my health and tones my body. I do a 15 minutes high intensity in a short period of time with only a 30 second break in between each set until the 15 minutes are up and the last 5 minutes is the cool down and stretch. Oh man, that last 5 minutes is everything! Just sitting and thinking...thank God it's over and I got through another day of working out!
As for food...
Well I try to eat as clean as I can with lots of fruits and veggies. I'm by far not perfect when it comes to eating clean all day, but majority of the day I do my best... but I definitely still enjoy my chips and donuts but of course in moderation. You still gotta live your life and have a little bit of fun with food you enjoy, right? Lets not forget water, water and more water! I also drink 3 cups of green tea a day to keep everything flowing, if you know what I mean!
As you can tell I keep it pretty simple and quick, due to me running around with a toddler full time during the day. So usually when he is down for a nap I try to fit it in during that time so I can #GetItDone with no distractions.
Nothing special over here, I just get moving, put some music on and get that heart pumping to stay healthy the best way I can. Because the faster I can get through it the sooner its done, the better! I'll be honest some days I just don't want to, but I push my self to get it done. And of course soon after I always feel amazing and so happy that I did. No matter what #GetItDone because that's what #BOSSMOMs do! But in the long run do what works best for you, and do your best at it. Get moving and stay active!
